I would actually be inclined to agree. One thing that Marx might have had a good train of thought on was the fact that people often think of their social status first rather than their heritage when it comes to their everyday lives. I've got a pretty distinct ethnic background and I still practice customs foreign to this country, but I grew up in a working class household and I'm much quicker to associate myself as "working class." That could be my populist streak speaking for me, but there you go.

Depends on the meaning of the question-in reality people are more divided by nationality in that that identity is more important to them then their class and they think in terms of their nationality more than their class even if the really big differences lie in class.

Yes, I think that's generally true, so I would say disagree.

Strongly agree. Mexican, American, and Canadian working class people have *far* more in common with one another than Mexican working class people have with Mexican capitalists, than American working class people have with American capitalists, and than Canadian working class people have with Canadian capitalists.

When dealing with the bottom 99.99% of society, people are more united by nationality than by class.

However, I think it's a fair statement that the world's wealthiest 0.01 Percent have more in common with one another than they do with anyone in their respective countries.

I strongly agree in the context of reading the statement as, "People are more divided by the existence of dominant and subjugated social groups than by the political boundaries legitimized by their governments."

What is most relevant for Question #8 is how one chooses to read into the words "class" and "nationality," though human beings are tribal enough in their tendencies that the borders of countries probably seem more divisive to most people, no?
