Who do you see making credible runs for the Senate in the future? Who do you want to run? Let's limit the potential candidates to those who might run by 2020. Also, I'm less interested in speculation about former Senators and former/current Governors, who tend to be fairly obvious potential candidates.

If Feingold/Kind don't run, I could see Mahlon Mitchell running.
Madigan doesn't strike me as the Washington type - I see Sheila Simon running for Senate though.
Same with Hassan. I think she's happy as Governor. Kuster is much more likely to make a run for Senate.
As for Arizona, I see Greg Stanton running for Senator or Governor soon.
Jack Conway is definitely looking for a rematch in 2015.
I could see any one of the NC Democrats running for Senate. I really can't pick.

Can't be assed to write up a 2018 list right now.

David Schweikert (AZ-6 - Republican congressman who's risen through the ranks of the state's politics, perhaps if McCain retires in 2016)
Kamela Harris (CA - Dem - if she doesn't run for governor in 2018 and instead runs if one of the current senators doesn't run)
Kasim Reed (GA - Dem)
Mitch Landrieu (LA - Dem - if Vitter wins governorship in 2015, perhaps first case of sitting senators who are siblings?)

Why, is there a problem with Ovide running in 2016 for Governor?

If Charlie ran for Senate two years through his first term just like he did the last time around, he'd be laughed out of the state. When he is not eligible to run again in 2018, I could see him replacing a retiring Bill Nelson.

He's taken a job as a pro-life lobbyist, and he can't win.

He got his ass beat by both our Senators and our Governor.

Oh wait, this was about winning? Oh, well, I was not in that mind set when writing, that explains Ovide, Angle and Crist, thought this thread was just about running. I did not see the title correctly for some reason.

I don't even think he'll run either. Like I said, from what my friend tells me he seems pretty content with the socon lobby now
