The type of proto-tumblr leftism I referred to that shaped my politics is in a scene that's almost exclusively white people, so I don't think that sort of definition works well. Think more white people who think most white people are terrible but they and the people in their subculture are the exceptions.

"White people are terrible but I have no non-white friends in a country that's 1/3rd non-white" strikes me as a very odd worldview

My position is basically this: I don't care if people want to use hilariously politically correct terminology, basically hold that cisgendered heterosexual white men (like myself) are some evil that should be discriminated against, or all other absurdities you can find on Tumblr, as long as they vote for the Democratic Party and don't attack Obama on ridiculous, absurd and often distorted or made up terms.
