38 million gallons out of a 50 million gallon reservior were discarded.

They have many birds pooping and dying into it every day. Many reserviors have fish and boating in them.

Assuming this idiot had a massive leak of a full quart of urine, that means the resivior was a whopping one part per 200 million urine (and many many times higher concentration of bird and fish $hit & carcass). People eat a far higher proportion of rat $hit everytime they eat a hot dog.

I read about this on Democratic Underground, the response was hilarious. Not just pointing out that urine is sterile and would have been heavily diluted, but that there were potentially much worse things like Badger mentioned floating around in the water.

But if you really worry this much about your water, boil it and store it. Problem solved.
