I would encourage the Senate to bypass rules on this bill and simply pass it.

All they have to do is simply not debate anything for 24 hours.

Is it possible for a Senator to motion "suspending the rules" like the real Congress?

I'm not actually sure, although I personally would rather avoid doing so if we can.  It's not like this is extremely urgent.

This is fine with me.

I don't know whether it would make more sense to have a child board on this, but that's entirely up to people's discretion, I guess.

One minor little grammatical thing I noticed when reading through this again:

In Clause 2, the first "there" should instead be "their".

clause two "...also there needs to be a..." sounds very...pleb Cheesy

can we get a bit more legalese into this? how about:

Clause I

-The Senate authorises the creation of a permanently stickied thread to be named the "Government Headquarters" thread on the Atlas Forum Government board. The thread is to be monitored by the Secretary of Forum Affairs, who may make further regulations pertaining to the thread, and is to be created as soon as time allows.

Clause II

-It is the responsibility of each member of the Cabinet to create and/or maintain a thread in the Atlas Forum Government Board relating to their office. There shall also be a similar thread for the President of the nation. If the Vice-President determines it useful, a Vice-Presidential thread shall be created using the same guidelines outlined for the previously listed thread.

Clause III

-The threads created and/or maintained by each member of cabinet and the executive shall be linked to from the opening post of the 'Government Headquarters' thread.

Clause IV

-The Secretary of Forum Affairs shall also include a link to the Constitution, and to any other threads considered relevant by the Secretary.

Implementation

-This bill, if passed, shall come into effect immediately, with the creation of the thread following the guidelines set out in clause I.

Personally I believe Senator Hughento's cleaned up version of this bill should be voted on as the official text of this said act. he is exactly right in saying that the original text was not official enough in its choice of words.

Okay, as this is essentially a giant amendment, I open voting on re-wording the bill to read as Sen. Hughento specified.

All senators in favor, vote "aye"; all against, vote "nay".

Aye.

Okay, I hereby bring this bill to a vote.

All senators in favor, vote "aye"; all against, vote "nay".

Was that a vote for the bill itself or the amendment that just passed?
