Maybe Walker should just bite the bullet and enroll for however many credits he needs (it couldn't be more than one or two classes) and officially complete his degree. He could probably just enroll in a couple of cupcake courses online.

Then he could avoid the whole issue and say he's setting a good example for his kids / young people in general to "finish what you start."

I don't see why not tbh, it would get rid of the issue and give him some sort of "pat yourself on the back" accomplishment
