Indeed, turnout will be the key factor in these elections. If Democrats avoid the mistake of trying to pander to hypothetical "swing voters", as they did in 2010, and instead focus on firing up their base (for example by aggressively defending Obamacare), the losses should be limited.

The midterms have been reshaping itself, we all gonna see Dems make gains in House and gov seats and maintain senate. Prez party doing poorly may not hold true.

The Dems are gonna seek to minimize losses, so that at minimum, it won't be an R year, rather a neutral year.

Indeed. Plus, when you consider that Obama's org didn't do jack-sh**t in 2010, there's only room for improvement - especially among an electorate that is bound to be browner and in a climate that is less hostile than 2010.
