Aaaaand Sanchez reminds me of why I put him on ignore in the first place.
As if "sh**tting Bull" is the most offensive thing ever put on here by me.

Perhaps not, but it is pretty offensive, and it's not like Warren (or most liberals) bring up the whole Native American issue anymore anyway.

No, and like I said, it was not relevant to her campaign nor is it now. It's just my nickname for her. It's like calling Krazen "Krazy" or Aggregate Demand "Arrogant Demand." I also call Senator Vitter "Senator Sh*ter."

Fair enough. Though "Fauxhontas" seems marginally less offensive for the same effect.

Massive FF, of course.

The casual racism in this thread is truly fascinating. Way to depart from your ideological roots, Sanchez.

FF. She seems like a senator who actually cares for other things than the number on her cheque which alone makes her good. Plus, she's several positions that I have as well.

Horrible person. Borderline socialist. At least she isn't corrupt.

What makes her socialist?

FF on the balance. I do strongly disagree with her on the role of the United States in the Middle East, what kind of relationship the United States should have with Israel, and the extent to which we should allow markets to influence social relations, but I think that she brings real and important points to the table and as a force within the Democratic Party.

This pretty much.

I was very skeptical of her when she first ran for office (though that was mostly about how much of a shot she had at winning, glad I was very wrong on that front), but I got to say that the overall first term impression is quite good.  If there is anything the Democratic Party needs more of it's left wing populists.

ON the whole Native American thing:

I'm not going to call bullsh*t on Warren's ancestry entirely here.  It's a very cultural thing in Oklahoma for pasty white people to claim to be Native American when they are like 1/168th Cherokee or something.  To her credit, it seems that Warren merely claimed to have Native American heritage, which makes her a lot less annoying than most other "Plastic Natives".  However, was this relevant to bring up in a Massachusetts Senate Primary?  Most likely not.

With that said, it was pretty dumb for Brown to think this was some sort of deciding issue.  In reality, nobody gave a sh*t.  If anything, I think that Brown would've been much better off attacking her connections with Obama while playing up the regulatory populist theme.  Then again, that would require Scott Brown to have a brain.

She used her "heritage" to con her way into the club of tenured Harvard Law Professors.

Haha, citations please!  And something other than conservative speculation.

That's kind of what Democrats should be all about. Everyone treated equally, not banks getting special favors and being too big to fail.

She was a registered Republican until 1996 and says she stopped supporting them because she felt they went too far with deregulation.

How does loving banks mean that someone isn't a Democrat? The Democratic Party is owned by banksters.

I believe that would be Ted Cruz and Jim Inhofe.

So are the Republicans, in fact they are moreso controlled by the banks and the uber-rich.

I realize the GOP is bought and paid for by banksters as well, but my point was that supporting big banks doesn't disqualify one from being a Democrat.

But, just in terms of banking, you really think the Democrats are less controlled by the banks then the GOP? Way more Republicans voted against the massive bank bailout then Democrats.
