candidates:

2000s - Huh
1990s - Black Hole Sun, Yellow Ledbetter, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Under the Bridge
1980s - Anything by Robert Palmer, Go-Gos; Don't You Want Me, I'm Still Loving You (Scorpions)
1970s - Kashmir, War Pigs, Iron Man, Smoke On the Water, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
1960s - most of the 60s were culturally prude; so think of something by the beach boys
1950s - Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On, Great Balls of Fire, Blue Suede Shoes, Be-Bop-A-Lula

For the '60s, you're gonna have to split the decade up, since by 1966/67, things got really high and weird.

Off the top of my head. . .

1950s - Elvis?
1960s - "Turn, Turn, Turn" by The Byrds (The Beatles, The Beach Boys, or the Turtles might have one)
1970s - Something by Abba - "Take a Chance," maybe (Brick and Elton John too, though)
1980s - "Crazy For You" by Madonna (Huey Lewis, though, and Robert Palmer, yes)
1990s - "Ray of Light" by Madonna (Sixpence None the Richer, though, were seriously late '90s - at least around here, and need to be mentioned; they're more representative of the decade than some of the fads that came and went sporadically, IMO)
2000s - Huh
