Aside from the subcurrent of hereditarian racialism present in de Benoist and other theorists associated with it, I'd much prefer American conservatism if it were closer to this positioning. I used to think/hope it was possible to move the American Right towards something approaching this; I now realize it to be impossible.

In particular I find its critique of Christianity appealing, and much more valuable than the usual liberal criticisms of religious fundamentalism.
