Could Jerry Brown make a run for the presidency? He's got credentials and experience. Could he even win the democratic nomination? Thoughts?

I think he's a serious dark horse. He's not likely to run but he's got a lot more experience than anyone and a pretty solid record. If he runs he could be formidable, especially if she doesn't run.

He's denied a run, so this is pointless (inb4 "OBAMA DCLINED 2!!!!"): http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/jerry-brown-isn-t-running-for-president-in-2016

He's easily the best Democrat. He'd have my vote against almost any Republican.

I wish. Brown could make the West seriously competitive - a Brown/Schweitzer ticket would be amazing.

The Left here is really disaffected by him. It's really ironic.

So? Even if he goes half senile, he'd still the best President in decades.

God I would be so enthusiastically supportive of him if he ran, but I highly doubt he will.

No way, no way, he'd be 78 years old in 2016. No way. He's shown no interest.

I would truly hope the Democrats nominate the above ticket.

Cakewalk for the Republicans.

If he were twenty years younger, then everyone would be talking about him.

He's good for California but the state still has some of the highest taxes in the nation, worst climates for business, one of the highest unemployment rates and that just doesn't look good nationwide.

If we're the worst climate for business, then how come we keep getting so many tech companies here?

Silicon Valley creates a competitive advantage for that.

I enthusiastically support Mr. Jerry Brown for the Presidency of the United States. He's certainly one of the most experienced politicians that this nation have, he has been an ancient promoter of fighting global warming, he has even some experience in the Judiciary Power since he was California's Attorney General and he has a understanding of the world that is pretty close to me: he's socially libertarian, he opposes the death penalty, he would certainly follow a more Humane Foreign Policy and he understands the importance of following a progressive agenda but with fiscal responsibility.

Well, they could easily relocate if we're such a bad climate for business. Wake me up if Google, Yahoo, Cisco, Facebook, Oracle, eBay, or Apple decide to relocate.

I'd vote for him. He should have been the nominee in 1992.

I would vote for Brown. He should run in 2016. But just like Biden, he's too old. Could be a dark horse contender though if Hillary does not run and Democrats are uninspired by O'Malley and Cuomo.

I'd vote for him, and if he were twenty or even ten years younger I'm sure a ton of other people would too. As things stand, Brown will go down in history as perhaps one of the most eminent and accomplished American politicians ever not to have been President--and he has some pretty good company there.
