Stabbing is not the appropriate response to rejection.

Canceling prom is not the appropriate response to a stabbing.

Is it bad that I could see certain nameless Atlas posters doing this?

I'm not sure 'dispute' is the right word here. In fact, I'm pretty sure it isn't. There shouldn't have been anything to dispute.

Well, apparently somebody did, or we probably wouldn't have had a stabbing.

Nobody 'disputed' anything; a man murdered a woman out of his own sense of entitlement. 'Dispute' implies two sides.
