Now that Obama has stolen her healthcare thunder, what's going to her fight? I doubt someone as purpose driven as HRC will want to run a generic Democratic campaign, or run on Obama's record.

If she runs against Rand Paul, she'll talk about "American Exceptionalism."

Her campaign will be about as inspiring as Al Gore's was in 2000.

Not that they're represented on the Atlas forum, but I'm sure plenty of women will be inspired by Hillary's candidacy.

Restoring America's economy, stopping the bleeding in Rust Belt, jobs shipping overseas etc. Has to be an economic centric issue.

If the economy is in the tank, she'll probably have to distance herself from generic Dem talking points about it.

Her best bet would be something like civil liberties.

Unfortunately, this is an issue where she has little credibility. (Although the GOP has even less.)

One saving grace is that I think she's opposed to "right-to-work" laws. That might be her best bet.

She supported the Patriot Act.

Running on civil liberties would be toxic for her, both in a general electorate and in a primary. If she seriously runs on her record on those issues, someone like Rand Paul could actually win.

Does Rand Paul even want to repeal the Patriot Act?  I can't imagine that's going to be an issue for either party.

If you did, Hillary Clinton would be the better candidate on 4th Amendment issues over Rand Paul.  No doubt about it.

Who decides 4th Amendment policy in America more than anyone?  The Supreme Court of the United States.

Who would appoint conservative justices who would gut the 4th Amendment?  Rand Paul.

Who would appoint moderate justices who believe in a robust 4th Amendment?  Hillary Clinton.

So he wouldn't vet his choices at all? This is one of the most short sighted posts I've seen.

Rand Paul is a Republican, he would put conservative judges on the Supreme Court.  There are some conservative judges that are about as civil libertarian as Scalia, but most are way more conservative.  Even Scalia type conservatives really aren't huge 4th Amendment advocates and would take us to the right on those issues.

Again, I'm sure he's not picking from a list that has two columns, name and Conservative/Moderate/Liberal.

Where are these conservative judges who are going to vote with the 4 liberal judges on the 4th Amendment?

Since when is being sketchy on civil liberties a partisan thing?  Get real.  Both parties have identical foreign policy/civil liberties agendas when in power.  To say we'd move "to the right" or "to the left" is just ignorant.
