You don't need good credit, or any credit, to get student loans. They are backed by Uncle Sam. But  he will withhold your tax returns, Social Security payments, etc to make his support as minimal as possible.

Because students also incur living expenses, one may also take out loans beyond the cost of tuition. I had money "left over" at the end of one semester and used it to visit a friend who was studying abroad in London. Maybe not the wisest financial move I ever made, but it was a helluva good time, and is still, to date, the only time I've left North America. Honestly can't say I really regret it.

I just had a phone interview with a company at 14:40 this afternoon that lasted 10 minutes.  I did well enough to score a face-to-face interview with them tomorrow at 15:00 in East Tulsa.

Thankfully, I am in no danger of defaulting.  Thanks to my parents, I always have ample money to pay all of my bills.  My student loans are currently on deferment until this fall - 6 months after I graduated.

On that note, I wouldn't be surprised if Dave Leip is funneling money to Bushie at this point. Surely Dave understands that the Atlas Forum is unsustainable without Update. The advertising revenue would simply collapse.
