Not yet, I haven't gotten a response from my e-mail, yet, so I am going to call them Monday after the holiday is over.

Effing admit you didn't finish the program.  Tell the truth for once

Some of us know the truth Jeffie.. just come out before someone outs you

I know the truth, too, and I'm telling the truth. Smiley

Jeff you better hurry up and propose before you lose this next job. If she says "yes", I imagine she's locked in no matter what according to Oklahoma customs.

A little change of plans.  There will be no proposal until probably August, maybe September.  It will happen, but I need to focus on staying with my job for a little while and establish myself before I start an engagement.  It will happen and we just had a great talk tonight, but it just won't happen until July.  We didn't talk about it at all, but after talking with my parents, I want to be able to show her not only do I have a job, but that I can keep the job.  So, don't break out the champagne just yet, but trust me, it will happen.  I want to be the good husband that will take care of her financially, and I need to start proving that with this new job starting Wednesday, July 9, 2014.  Right now, I'm thinking sometime in the latter half of August.  That will still give us 9 1/2 months until the wedding day, so we've got plenty of time.  Don't read into this any more than what I have posted.  Things are still going very good between us and getting better all the time, I am just trying to be the most responsible that I can.  I am talking about another human being's future here.

So much for the engagement... Sad

I feel like the season finale just got canceled.

You're delaying the engagement, but keeping the wedding date the same?  Not sure what difference that makes then.  You're already effectively engaged.  You're saying that once you put the ring on her finger, that'll take focus away from your job?  Why don't you just propose, but not get into the weeds of the wedding planning yet?

Delay the proposal? I don't get it.

Proposal is the least commitment part of the commitment.

The only benefit I see to delaying the proposal and keeping the wedding date the same is if he thinks there's a reasonable chance of this proposal falling apart like the previous ones have.  In that case, it's easier to get the ring back if he never gives it up in the first place.

Wait, remind me if there's already a ring or not.  Didn't Tyffynýe keep it?

Bushie, have you found out what Allyson's ring size is?  What size is the ring the other women didn't want (if it's still around)?

I think he has the old rings but didn't want to use them. Tiffanye gave him the ring back after holding it for a month, and Susan returned the ring after Bushie's parents got into a fight with her, which culminated with them throwing the ring back at his parents, one of the more exciting moments of past seasons.

Who will have the most rings when he retires from the game, Tom Brady or Bushie?

Ah, so he needs to buy another ring.  Makes sense, since he won't be paying for it anyway.

Who has the one ring to rule them all, btw?   (Sorry, Ernest joke.)

Why hasn't he sold the old ones? Makes more sense financially than taking out student loans for savings

On the issue of the ring, I sold the first ring (fiancée's 1 and 2), but Mom is still holding the second ring in safe keeping.  Based on current finances and previous conversation, Allison may only get a Walmart ring instead of Gordon's Jewelers where the first two rings are bought.  I just can't bear to let Mom pay for a thousand dollar ring when I can go to Walmart and get a pretty ring for likely less than $200.

Both sets of parents have met each other one time last November on Allison's birthday when her and her parents picked me up to see Hunger Games: Catching Fire and eat dinner.  Both sets of parents came away impressed.

Yeah why not give her the ring if you aren't going to sell it? Why keep it? How on earth can you get a wedding ring for $1000, and especially $200?? I thought they were $8k-$9k minimum!

What's the point of asking him about this? I don't think there's any doubt what happened, and there's no benefit to needling him on it.

I don't know why she's not selling it, but it's not really any of my concern.

that is nonsense.  even if one has the means (bushie does not) to spend 8-9k on a ring, to do so is ridiculous.

Oh, heavens no, an engagement/wedding ring combo can be obtained for anywhere between $100 and $2000.  Certainly, they can range all the way up to the levels you mentioned and higher, but you don't have to spend near that much to get a very elegant, very pretty ring that captures the heart of your girl.  The two rings that I bought were a combined $2,000 and that includes one groom ring.

Exactly, I prefer to invest more in the marriage than in anything involved with the wedding itself including rings.  Of course, I want a nice, comfortable ceremony that magnifies the beauty of my bride, but I prefer to invest more in the life after that 30-minute ceremony.  The Wedding Ceremony and Reception combined lasts maybe 3 hours.  A marriage lasts a lifetime.  It only makes sense that the marriage deserves more investment than the wedding.
