I'm very proud that you've lost that weight, but are you sure it's not just water that you lost?

It could be water weight, but it's been consistent at the 4-5 pound mark.

All things considered, things are about to get fun at work.  Outbound is tough, but it's doable even for my personality type.  It's not a job I'll have forever, but it can last me until I get a CAD job.  I will start looking when I get home tomorrow night.  I just don't have to rush and worry.  I'm not desperate.  I am going to do all I can to keep this job until I start the new one.

Has anyone compiled the average of Bushie's tenures at call centers? It'd be some helpful insight for him, I'm sure...

In his entire life, I believe he sold Ameriscam to the Brown family. That's it. After trying to also sell Kirby vacuums (in two seperate stints), Rainbow vacuums, and life insurance.

He attempted to sell Ameriscam here - resulting in his forced removal as as a moderator - which... um... speaks volumes as to his sales skills and general business acumen.

I think outside of Rainbow, Kirby and Ameriscam, he's worked at exclusively call centers since leaving ONG. Even times where he claimed they told him it would be data entry, it turned out to be a call center, to his amazement.

His case was a huge exception to the normal process.  Dave asked the forum if anybody would like to moderate whichever random boards it was, Bushie volunteered, and like an hour later or whatever he was a moderator.

Still, Bushie as a moderator > Inks as a moderator.

Walter, I was there for 2 years from 2008-2010.  I still regret leaving there when I did.

I was in the Customer Accounting department.  I analyzed irregular meter readings of customers gas meters and took appropriate action either adjusting the reading or sending out a service tech to investigate possible leaks.

And how much selling was involved? Or how many customer service calls would you take on a daily basis?

Our Dear Friend's work monitoring irregular gas activity was a great service to Oklahoma and our nation. We can only hope he can get back in the gas industry.

No sales.  We were the first line back up to the call center, so if the call center got backed up, we'd jump on and help out.

I don't think I would have lasted the rest of that year.

Yeah it was pretty clear ONG was looking for a way to get rid of Bushie considering they had no interest in letting him come back to work the day after he left, when it could have been incredibly easy for them to do it, and cheaper too, rather than hiring someone else.

At least ONG didn't escort him off the premises though.
