I had the pay explained to me this way, and this should answer the legality that J-Mann brought up.  The base is $8.00/hr, but with an automatic $2.00/hr bonus if you work between 38-40 hours during the week.  If you miss between 2-10 hours, the bonus drops to $1.00/hr extra and there is no bonus if you miss more than 10 hours in the week.  On top of the attendance bonus are sales bonuses that can add up to as much as an additional $6.00/hr for the entire pay period.  So, as long as I show up everyday, I am guaranteed $10.00/hr, but could make up to $16.00/hr.  That's not including all the sales games they have.  AT&T likes to throw money around.

I'm at work now.  I was delayed an hour from what I wanted, but I made it in at 14:30.  I still don't feel well, but I figure I should make an appearance.  My trainer caught me up on things and I'm fine in my attendance.

2 1/2 hours is better than nothing.  My trainer did crack a genuine smile when I walked in.  I probably could have stayed out all day and it wouldn't have affected anything, but I wanted to at least make an appearance.  I feel better just by being here.

If everyone in the training class has as bad attendance as Bushie and management is covering for it this must also be a scam but the center is scamming AT&T and hoping they don't find out. Granted that's not Bushie's fault and the same thing would be happening if he had perfect attendance. And hell under the worst case scenario where AT&T finds out, pulls the contract and he gets laid off at least he gets unemployment benefits.

But that's making the big assumption Bushie is telling only truth and the whole truth.

You say that as if it is some sort of justification for you missing. In 2 months (if that), it won't really matter that Billy Sue had as many call offs as you, because the end result will be that both you and Billy Sue are unemployed.
