Wow.. this is all kinda sad. Hopefully mama goes out and gets a job so she can support him. Obviously retirement was not in the cards for her.

Jeffie, just eat right and get some cardio in. I can actually cook a healthy dinner faster than stopping at a fast food place to grab something. Most fast food makes me sick if I try to eat it now. I've lost over 50lbs, and I'm feeling better by the day.

It doesn't matter if your "doctor" says your healthy. Your not. You are killing your heart, liver, kidneys, knees, back.. everything. It's only a matter of time before they start failing you. Hell, they were failing me. Just because I changed my eating and exercise habits now, doesn't mean that the damage isn't already done.

It can't be a flavor of the moment decision. You have to take control of your life. I am going to struggle with my weight the rest of my life, and so are you. Someday, maybe you will realize and start a serious change, and not just mix and match your lifestyle.

Jeff, if you actually completed the program, why isn't Metro Tech acknowledging that you did by sending your certificate?

you'd have to ask them.  My grades are all in m so there's literally nothing standing between me and a CAD job except applying and interviewing,

Weren't you supposed to ask them weeks ago? Come on, man, take some initiative. Actually do something with your life. Quit saying "I will" and actually do it. You keep saying that the past is the past and doesn't matter going forward, but you're still just doing the same unproductive things.

Excuse me for getting caught up in actually doing something MORE important like APPLYING FOR JOBS!!!

I get so hot when you start using caps to put your point across. So just curious, do you actually apply for jobs every minute of every hour between 9am and 5pm? Monday thru Friday?

I've never been to the midwest, but I intend to go when I get the invitation. Considering a handful of us are responsible for Jeffison still being Jeffison, it's only courteous that we are invited to the wedding. After all, we are owed it.

Don't worry baby, we're already invited. That's what I've been losing all this weight for.

Will you have lost enough weight by the time of the wedding next month?

God willing

How come Bushie eats exclusively at chain restaurants? I feel like he's trying to name drop them all the time. Applebee's. Barnhill's. On the Border. Cracker Barrel. Denny's. IHOP. Don't they have non chains in Oklahoma?

Update is brought to you by the aforementioned chain restaurants.  That's why Bushie never actually works.  He's just paid to write Update by those sponsors, and that gives him just enough $ to survive.

When Bushie temporarily locks Update, it's because of a pay dispute with his sponsors.  He likes to go on strike from time to time, to keep them on their toes.

It all makes sense now..

Again, this is Bushie all over. He loves announcing his 'plans'... but, where is the follow through?

Same thing with weight, if he was serious - he'd throw EVERYTHING out of his pantry and fridge, everything. And start fresh, if his parents genuinely supported him, they should be helping by cooking healthier foods to not give him an excuse to get out of it "Well, she cooked it, so I can't be rude" or "it's a holiday". Again, note he plans to go shopping for healthier food, buy weights, buy walking clothes... you don't need specialist equipment to go for a walk. Comfortable shoes, consideration for the weather and some water... that's it.

And do not get me started on 'diet soda' - the sweeteners in those things are TERRIBLE for you and they cause virtually the same reactions in the body as sugar (including diabetes).

Girl, preach it! That's what I did when I quit smoking, and it's what I did when I started dieting. I took all my bad stuff into work, and let them have it, and what wasn't taken I threw out. If Jeffie keeps going down this road, he will end up 6 feet under. It's not being mean, it's being honest.

I appreciate all the concern for my weight, but I'm slowly working at it.  You all think it is the easiest change ever to go from a mindset of eating whatever I want to eating healthy.  It's a harder change than what you all realize.  Slowly, I am getting into that mindset.  It's not an overnight thing, just like quitting smoking or quitting drinking are generally not overnight.  I can't just flip a switch.  I am working at it, though.

As far as the pop, I refuse to give it up entirely.  I am mixing in a glass of water now and then, yes, and I am trying to increase my daily water intake but I am not going to give up pop entirely.  I have to have some sweet drink and sweetened tea (sweetened with Splenda) or juice doesn't always cut it.  They are good, but they don't always cut it for me.  I am switching to diet pop because it's void of calories.  Today, it has helped me stay around 2,300 calories on the day, which for a guy my size is okay.

As far as work goes, there is no reason to worry.  It took a little bit for the job to grow on me, but I am not second guessing my decision to take the job.  Not everybody is going to love everything about their job from the moment they walk in the doors.  They just learn to accept and adapt to the things they don't like and look forward to what they do like.  There is nothing else to read into the job than what I gave you, so please do not read anymore into it than what I posted.

You've been saying this for years, Jeffie. Look at you now. You're in horrible shape, and on the verge of major medical issues.  It is an overnight thing, you're just not willing to take the step. I quit smoking cold turkey, and my diet was cold turkey.

I really hope you read into everything people have said, and take offense to it all.. maybe that will wake you up. When you get serious, hit me up and I'll send you some easy recipes that you could use.

Maybe bushie is just a really crappy interviewer? Or he's just being lazy trying to find places. I don't know why everyone else would be getting CADD jobs except him, especially since he claims everywhere he looks wants experienced drafters.

Very few 300 pound men make good interviewees. People that size simply "look lazy" to HR departments.

This is very true.. it's why I'm glad I'm not Three hundo anymore.

Scale check: After a spike in my weight yesterday back to 290.8, I managed to do well enough yesterday combined with the water weight to come in at 288.8 this morning.  That's a drop of 3 pounds in the past week.  It's a small change and nothing to write home about, but it's headed in the right direction.

Just water weight. You haven't been cutting back on eating - you ate burgers, fries, soda, hot dogs and the like all last week.

We all need to stop bothering him about his weight. He has an addiction to food. Until he changes his lifestyle or mindset, nothing will change, and I imagine if he tried to change his lifestyle, his family would not approve. It's his culture that is the root of the problem, as they do not encourage or even embrace a healthy life style, as I bet they view it as evil liberalism that represents the secular coastal living.

Maybe it's what he needs.... if he doesn't get it now, he never will. Not a single person in my life told me that I needed to lose weight. Nobody pestered me, nobody said "Hey, AndrewCT/TX... you doing okay? Don't want to be rude, but looks like you packed on a few pounds.."  My weight got out of control, and at 6 foot I got to my heaviest of around 315lbs back in September. I had to do it the hard way.. I had to learn it on my own that my life was out of control. I started working out in November, and I'm down to 243. Not much, but I'm still busting my ass to lose weight.

He has an entire group of people here who regardless of what he thinks, is telling him he needs to get healthy, he needs to start looking after himself. And yet he says that he is going to change, and goes and ignores it.  As much as I can be indifferent to the kid, I want to see Jeffie get his life back on track and into better health.

Bushie can always be counted on to spend money in accordance with planning on improving himself.

Hey, now, I bought this because King advised me to.  Why the jab?

We've also advised you to contact Metrotech, watch what you eat, don't fall for scam jobs, and many other things.. and yet...this is the one piece of advise you have taken.

Why hasn't MetroTech responded?  It makes no sense.

It's a tough position for them to respond, when Jeffie never sent an e-mail. Most companies and schools have a policy that they must return responses within 24 hours

I'm very proud that you've lost that weight, but are you sure it's not just water that you lost?

It could be water weight, but it's been consistent at the 4-5 pound mark.

At least ONG didn't escort him off the premises though.

No, he proudly left to go work for ON Company. Oh what good times those were!

Yep, then the loyal Updaters, who supposedly all hate Bushie according to some people, saved Bushie from going to prison.

We tried to save him from that job too, King even posted a google search showing it was a scam after 5 minutes of research, but Bushie told us he knew better than we did , he had searched up and down and found that company was reputable, and he was letting god take the lead!

A leap of faith, is what Papa Bushie called it

The train in his room is pretty symbolic. It sounds like Papa and Mama Bushie are both on the train riding away from Bushie's financial needs whether he likes it or not. I wonder what will happen after this job falls through.

Will they once again take him back or finally say enough is enough?

See, I thought the train room was created to try and save the marriage. It's been on the verge of collapse with Jeffie moving back home. Since they pushed him out of OKC and into Tulsa, they must have found something to rekindle the romance.
