It's quite obvious he didn't receive the certificate. He's stalling until he can cook up a 'plausible' excuse as to why he won't be getting it. The lingering question is why: did he flunk on score, attendance, or messed up some paperwork?

Bushie, put yourself of the shoes of a hiring manager at a CADD firm. Are you going to go through all the expense and trouble of hiring somebody (hiring new people is a big gamble in any industry) if he doesn't even have a certificate in the hopes that maybe the applicant knows what he's doing? The whole point of the certificate is that it proves that you know something about CADD and that you have the ability to complete a project. Without that piece of paper, both of those points look extremely doubtful. Just get a job at Wal-Mart already. They have a lot of experience on how to train and retain people like you.

In addition to this, a lot of firms will require a degree/certification for certain positions, even if you have real experience.

Yeah, that was a dark time in my life.  I still regret having sex with her.  It's something I will always regret.  I know I am forgiven of that sin by Almighty God, but I still have to pay the consequence of regret.

Anyway, back to the present:

I am having a good day so far.  They are changing my schedule to 8-17 M-F starting this evening.  I will never work 9-18 or 10-19 like I thought.  Most things about this job are very good.  There a couple things I don't care for, but they are very minor things.  The rest of the job sounds pretty good.  It's not what I envisioned a year ago when I was about to start school, but it's alright.  It will pay the bills and has a great potential to be a keeper.  As long as I mind my P's and Q's and occasional R's, I should be okay!  I'm still not going to search for a job because I am too afraid of disturbing the water, if you will.

Just because of what happened last time, doesn't mean you don't search for a new job.  That shouldn't be the lesson.  The lesson should be, not to list that job as a reference.  I don't know why this needs to be explained.......

I may keep an eye on the jobs that come out, but I'm not going to make it a priority.  What is a priority is doing the best job that I can at this job and try to turn it into a long-lasting job.  I've got my priorities set for this job and while they may not be conventional or what everyone else would do, I believe they are the best priorities for me.  If you don't like them, you don't have to follow them.  But, don't say my priorities are wrong just because it's not what most other people would do.  Just to clarify: I'm not saying you're calling them wrong now, but just don't get the idea.

I have no idea what you just said.

I believe "try to turn it into a long-lasting job" is Oklahoman slang for "will probably be fired within the next 2 months."

but the best way to salvage the day is eating small tonight.

The best way to salvage the day is going for a run walk to burn some of the filth you dumped into your body.

Seems that if is true he had a passing overall grade, he bombed one of these LAP tests. Assuming the teacher did allow a retry and he passed, he failed a subsequent one and the prof was having none of it.

I don't understand the part about God not putting you in a job to see you fail. Why would that be different the 14th time?

No, the way you succeed or fail in this job is through your own efforts.

It's a self-reinforcing mechanism to reinforce his own lethargy. The degree to which he has warped religion to justify his actions of perpetual sin is quite sickening.

It is lunch time and the day is going great.  We haven't done much yet today only going over the call flow.  We may shadow agents already on the  floor this afternoon.  This is easy money today.

Well yes, it is quite easy to not do anything.

Schools always have someone around, even in the summer. In the worst case he could directly contact his professor. There is no excuse that the school "is closed."

That post is a huge red flag. Something has happened that he is not telling us (maybe he's already been terminated due to shoddy performance during the training). If that's not the case it seems that he's considering quitting before lining up another job.

This does not augur well.

You've worked at numerous call center jobs in the past. Why would you feel unprepared?

Bushie you are just all over the place with this.  Just last night you said that this job is too important to let a stomach bug affect it, and today "so be it" if you are fired?  Are you bipolar or something?  That is so far from normal.

It's been clear for awhile that he has some sort of mental issue. He refused to see a mental health specialist the last time it was brought up.
