Two people who have very similar views and are from very close by states. I choose Miles for very obvious reasons.

I like both of them.
But irl, I would vote Miles. Simply because Miles would be the democrat and Del Tachi would be the republican.
1) The senate majority is so crucial
2) And despite having the same views, Miles would have to cooperate with the democratic party, whereas Del Tachi: the republican party.
So Miles would probably have a more progressive record than Del Tachi I guess.
Although it wouldn't be extremely different.

Tough choice. I know Miles a bit better and greatly enjoy reading his political commentary on key races, but Del Tachi is in the same career I hope to go into, so I really enjoy reading their posts. I voted Miles/Del Tachi.

I'm voting for Miles!

TBH, Miles would be able to be much more effective as a Democratic Senator than I would be as a Republican one.

This is because Miles' party isn't currently going through a stage of purging itself of sane politicians.

Miles would probably win, but both would be great.

I'm not sure there's any difference in ideological views between the two.

Del Tachi, because IIRC he's more hawkish.

Del Tachi is obviously politically a DINO. Especially because he's from former Travis Childers' district, where the MS blue dog dems are still alive and successfully win elections.

Both great posters.  I guess I have to go with Del Tachi out of party loyalty.

Sen. MilesC56 (D-LA)/Fmr. Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM): 422 EVs (54% PV)
Gov. Del Tachi (R-MS)/Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD): 116 EVs (43% PV)
Others: 3% PV
