I can announce you that the far right in France will perform much more than expected...

Just speculation? (hopefully?)

I got some results from a friend in a town, the far right results are really really high...

Barroso was right when he said France would become the Texas of Europe, this isn't just a protest vote, this is a genuine swing to the far right in France where the educated elite are mostly reactionary to borderline racist.

France has reacted to May 68 the same way Poland reacted to Stalinism.

Why are no American users posting here ?

We always post in their elections, so why not return the favour ?

Tongue

They see us as a protectorate and can't understand our politics.

This is apparently the vote share in Wales:

Labour 32%
UKIP 29%
Conservative 19%
Plaid Cymru 17%

Ominous.

I would rather someone protest vote than not vote at all. Getting off your arse to express your displeasure is more effective.

The likeliest party to "take the plunge" would be the Greens IMO.

The Green group is the European Parliament will be severely damaged because of the desertion of several nationalist parties to their respective ideologies.

Well, then the best move would have been to accept, in order to expose Grillo's hypocrisy if he eventually renege on his adhesion. By rejecting it they're legitimizing him in seeking alliance with Farage.

Farage's incentive is that it distances him further from the far right which will always be the main issue people have with his party. His terminology (such as People's Army) is swinging to Grillo-style populism.

In a run up to a general election where his programme is elitist at best he needs to convince his working class voters he is the anti-establishment candidate.

Wikipedia also has N-VA in Belgium joining ALDE, but I couldn't find a source.

Open Vld are trying to block this, verhofstadt is off the record not against it though.

So what's the deal with N-VA ? I read on another forum that they were still included on the Greens-EFA group's website, but I can't find evidence of that.

Them leaving the Greens might just have been pre-election talk, and since most of the seperatist parties around Europe actually stuck with the Greens-EFA group contrary to earlier fears, they still might feel at home there with the Catalan centre-right party.

However, they would like to join in this order EPP (not going to happen), ECR (not going to happen until after Scottish referendum) or ALDE (likely unless Verhofstadt blocks it).

Joelle Bergeron, 64, left the French far right party two days after this year’s elections. The party, led by Marine Le Pen, asked her to leave her seat in favour of another candidate. The widowed auctioneer joins the new Europe of Freedom and Democracy Group, which was formed tonight (18 June), as an independent.

She reportedly said she would support the vote for foreigners no matter where they came from if they paid taxes. This angered the higher echelons of the party and got her kicked out, calling her a Muslim-sympathiser, etc...

Also, Coalition of the New Right are struggling to get into EAF because PVV do not want to associate themselves to a homophobic party. Note that PVV actually have a strong homosexual vote due to islamist hate crime in places like Rotterdam reaching the news regularly. Also, Fortuyn was an open homosexual and used homophobia as one of his main arguments against Islam so Wilder's image as his successor would be somewhat tarnished. The two parties will probably not sit in the same group.

The total number of MEPs by party as of now:

Others 13

Who are these others? The Greek Golden Dawn?

From Germany the NPD and Die Partei.

NPD, the neo-nazi party? What's Die Partei exactly?

Protest/comedy party, created by the German equivalent of Ian Hislop (if you know who that is).
