Which candidate from both parties would be DESTROYED AND TERRIBLE in debating skills in a vice presidential debate in 2016? Who would look wimpy, uninformed on policy issues, or just plain stupid?

Martin O' Malley, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal or Marco Rubio probably wouldn't do that good in the 2016 Vice-Presidential debate.

Tim Kaine would bomb a Veep debate. I mean, look at this gem, where he's so weak that he basically agrees with Romney on the 47% remark.

Interesting question.

Kaine has been DNC Chairman and seems to have handled himself well in a debate with George Allen, a gut who was considered presidential timber. So in terms of the first debate, Democrats can do worse.

Senators probably have an edge in debate, since the job requires them to be familiar with a variety of national issues, and articulate their positions often. The worst debater would be likely to be an Executive, especially one who avoided a tough campaign. Natural political talent could make up for that, while a deficit of political talent could result in a veteran Senator getting clobbered. A true believer might also say some crazy things, and demonstrate a tremendous lack of self-awareness.

On the Democratic side, the ones to worry about among potential veeps would be Julian Castro, Steve Bullock, Anthony Brown and Anthony Foxx, more due to potential inexperience than anything else.

Republicans are unlikely to nominate Rick Perry or Rick Santorum for veep. Rubio seems like he could do well, although he might end up exposed as an empty suit. Rand Paul and Bobby Jindal might end up saying something controversial.

I don't think she'll pick O'Malley but I don't see any reason to think he'd do bad in a debate.

I could see Susana Martinez doing terribly. Then again, maybe not.

I agree with this.

Anyone remember the priceless state of the union response?
