1) Vermont (100%). No surprise I got my favourite state.

Last place was South Carolina. Interesting.

New York is my best fit with 100%, Arkansas my worst with 13%.

Not too bad, but it fails to account for the massive differences within states like California or Texas or New York.

California 100%, Washington 91%. Interestingly, Vermont was 79%. I told it I HATE snow and cold, so I must be a pretty good match for Vermont.

Sunshine, warm, dry, non-religious, fit and active, liberal, educated, healthy were my criteria.

The southeastern states were all at the bottom, unsurprisingly.

In a shocker, Maryland beat out Massachusetts for my #1.  Joisey was #3.  The top 9 were all Northeastern, the bottom handful all Southern, with Mississippi dead last.

Interesting that New Jersey is doing so well for many posters, considering that a majority voted it an HS.

Best state was Maryland (100%). Worst was a tie between Indiana and Michigan (31%). Tennessee, my state of residence, was tied for third-to-last with Nevada at 33%. Rhode Island, my state of birth, was twelfth with 70%. The biggest surprises are that the Deep South beat the Upper South and that the Upper Midwest fared so poorly, especially Wisconsin.

Virginia wins with 100%, followed by North Dakota, then Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia. Nevada is my lowest (20%), then Michigan, then New York.

Top 5:

1.    California (100%)

3.    Oregon (92%)
