39% of voters would have preferred a "more conservative challenger" to Wicker, while only 40% would back Wicker in such a scenario.

Wicker's too moderate for Tea Partiers, yet would be easier to take down than Cochran because he's not as entrenched?

So, why didn't the TP go for it in 2012?  We're they waiting for Cochran in 2014?
