Hi, sorry. The one question I have before I'm ready to bring this to a vote is what happens with employees at private prisons. Would they be immediately be integrated as public employees? Fired? At very least, I think they would need some kind of retraining to deal with any differences in how private and public prisons might be operated. Maybe some kind of time delay before nationalization would be appropriate?
This bill doesn't ban or close any prisons, but brings them under the control of the region. They would be integrated as public employees should they continue working for them.
You have a point on time delay, though. Nationalization of any entity or industry shouldn't happen overnight.
