According to a pollster, the GOP will change its strategy vis-a-vis Obamacare, but only once this year's primaries are done and over with, that is.

Next up, replace "Medicade" (sic) with "Affordable Care Act" on this sign.

With luck, GOP and Democrats will work together to transfer $500B from Medicare to Medicaid for working class, as originally proposed by the bill.

I see Bill McInturff has figured out a way to get attention. Good for him.

How long until we see "Tell Obama to get his hands off my Obamacare!" signs in Appalachia? Coupled of course with a wonderful anecdote about how Obama hates the little people and wants to take away their Obamacare, while their Republican heroes try to stop Obama from repealing it.

Good thing about it is that (thanks to the GOP), the label "Obamacare" will forever stay attached to the bill and make it clear who fought for it.

Even with it being called "Obamacare", I'm not sure that's enough to pierce their cognitive dissonance.

Sometimes it feels like this subforum is a perpetual mockery of Appalachian Republicans as everything wrong with America.

Yes, I'm urban as they come; but I can't stand this elitism. Why focus mockery on the powerless and under-educated?

If all the predictions of death panels, death spirals, exploding unemployment, exploding costs, lack of signups, etc does not happen by 2016, will the GOP have any price to pay for being so colossally wrong? They will have had sued Obama over it, shut down the government over it, constantly harped on it for years and by the next general election it will likely be an accepted part of the American healthcare system.

Can they really run on how they are the ones to 'fix' what problems there are?

The cost explosion has already happened. Obamacare is just ensuring that we have an orderly demolition of the American middle class.

Will any Republican blame Obamacare for the rise of gay marriage?  Wouldn't "Abortion Raises Taxes" be a good slogan that could encompass the entire GOP domestic platform?

In their eyes, you have apologized for their insults and insulted them in the same statement. These people must push down on water to stay afloat. To insinuate that they are not floating is the worst thing you can do. That's why these people are so hard to advocate for and has thus has made Democrats less bold than what many liberals would like. The same situation could be being set up with olds. That is, as more people who benefit from Democrats vote against them, the Democrats will be less inclined to continue to support their interests.
