Say Hillary's only challenge in the Democratic primaries comes from Bernie Sanders, who wins the support of certain left-wing labor unions, environmentalists, and other progressive elements.  Hillary runs with the backing of Emily's List (simply because she's a woman, a la the Hawaii Dem primary), the more bourgeois LGBT rights groups who fear that Bernie would lose the general election and help to elect a hostile Republican administration, and more conservative labor groups that backed her in 08 (she could help secure their backing by supporting Keystone XL, which Sanders opposes).  Upper-middle class college students are also swept up in the "Ready 4 Hillary" nonsense, helping her to win a narrower-than-expected victory over Sanders.
Meanwhile, Jeb Bush emerges as the establishment candidate, managing off to fend off the insurgent right-wingers such as Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rick Perry, and even Chris Christie, who eventually drops out to endorse him.  The Tea Party throws a fit that the GOP establishment has fully retained control of the party.  Unlike Mittens, Jeb does not cow tow to the Tea Party line, and goes Christie-style in maintaining consistent positions.  It now appears to be a battle of the dynasties.
With both camps divided, Cruz announces that he "will not sit by while two supporters of big, invasive government ideology duke it out for the highest office in the land," and will run for President as an independent.  Bernie Sanders follows suit, saying that "three Wall Street candidates without a candidate representing the majority of the American people in the race is not an acceptable election campaign."

Hillary attempts to reach out to liberals by choosing Martin Heinrich as her running mate, while Jeb goes for Kelly Ayotte.  Bernie decides on Tammy Baldwin.  Cruz picks Rand Paul in spite of certain ideological differences, and Paul accepts despite his father's reservations.

I'd vote for Cruz/Paul (somewhat reluctantly), but Clinton/Heinrich would certainly win.

Cruz and Paul for me, and if I had to pick a winner (I can see this ending up with a hung Electoral College), Clinton/Heinrich.

Bernie is a total brObot.  He was fine with Obama's peace drones and Wall Street bro-dom, stern words aside (i didn't get the memo where he challenged Obama for the nomination or ran as an Indy).  But when Hillary runs, it's unacceptable.  Bros b4 hoes!

It would be funny if the winner was elected President with just 39% of the nationwide vote.

Most voters won't "waste" their vote (unless IRV is enacted). Clinton may even hold VT.

Clinton 46% / 273 EV
Bush 46% / 262 EV
Sanders 4% / 3 EV
Cruz 3% / 0 EV

I doubt Florida would be the only state where the winning candidate gets less than 50% of the vote...

He obviously didn't bother to adjust PV shades from the original 2012 map.
