Wasn't much of an argument.  But Bibi was pointing out Jesus' Jewish identity, and in his mind Hebrew is a signifier of that.   For Francis, it isn't an issue and Jesus and the Jews of his time aren't any less Jewish for speaking Aramaic.

There's nothing mutually exclusive about visiting major Zionist figures and supporting Palestinian statehood.

Hebrew uses the same writing system as Aramaic, and there's some shared vocabulary and some grammar structure similarities (putting a v' sound before a word means "and," plurals end in -in similar to the Hebrew -im, etc.).

My mistake, I meant the Nevi'im; IIRC, it was Isaiah that Jesus read from.
