Though my activity for the next two to three weeks will be lighter than normal, I would like to if possible remain as chairman. That said I will need to rely more on others to assist me, particularly with regards to the August Elections.

Therefore I am opening a 48 hour declaration period for Chairman and Vice Chairman. I also declare for the position of Chairman.

I do not know if Dereich wants to run for re-election as Vice Chairman. If not, I think that both Lumine and Hagrid would be great options.

Thanks, Cris, although I would personally prefer Dereich going for Vice-Chairman again (of Hagrid in his replacement). There's also the problem of me being up in a primary soon, and that would imply a conflict of interest as well. That said, I will run just only if nobody else wants to run for the position, consdering we have a specific period of time to declare about to end.

JCL certainly has my support for Vice-Chair! (I just wanted to clarify I won't be running for the position now that he has announced)

I know I am jumping the gun here, but I do ask for an endorsement for the upcoming At-Large Senate election and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Well, the two days allotted for leadership nominations have passed and Yankee has asked me to open the vote in his stead. Federalists have 72 hours to vote for Chair and Vice-Chair.

I will try to get on Friday to begin the process for the primary but I may not be able to. Would anyone object to by then VC JCL handling the responsibility, even though he is a candidate in the primary?

I aimed to be on Monday and ended up getting on two day's later.

I assume that Clarence, JCL and Lumine are still in the race? If it is down to two it won't be necessary to have a primary. If a primary is necessary it is 72 hours by IRV, starting on the Friday before the election.

I'm honestly worried about Clarence since he hasn't been in the forum for a very long time (and I sincerely hope nothing bad happened to him), but it seems a primary is necessary since he didn't drop out of the race. I certainly don't object to JCL handling the primary vote!

I'd apologise for butting in but I'm baffled as to why the opposition to the Labor plan to unilaterally nationalise a tenth of the economy and plunge Atlasia into fiscal chaos came from TPP, the DRs and some dissenting voices within Labor. Where was the 'conservative' party? I'd concede with gratitude that your incoming Vice-Chair and Senator Cassius spoke out against the bill but I would have expected that something that economically reckless would have provoked an outpouring of outrage from the party that supposedly represents the mainstream right. As is, we had your Chair vote a reluctant (Huh) Nay on the most radical socialist experiment yet proposed in this game.
