Nay

We should be advocating more private ways to handle the issue of homeless rather than using the force of government. Don't get me wrong compassion to the poor is important but the role of government is to ensure liberty. There are folks who will think that this will intrude on their liberties.

If that was actually the role of government there would be no government. How do you have liberty if the social system that a "freedom-loving" government has helped nurture keeps people at the bottom? I don't believe that it's government's job to give everyone everything they will ever need, but offering a hand up elevates Atlasia as a whole.

Also, we are not currently voting on the homelessness plank.

I thought it was a vote on the homelessness plank.

I'd apologise for butting in but I'm baffled as to why the opposition to the Labor plan to unilaterally nationalise a tenth of the economy and plunge Atlasia into fiscal chaos came from TPP, the DRs and some dissenting voices within Labor. Where was the 'conservative' party? I'd concede with gratitude that your incoming Vice-Chair and Senator Cassius spoke out against the bill but I would have expected that something that economically reckless would have provoked an outpouring of outrage from the party that supposedly represents the mainstream right. As is, we had your Chair vote a reluctant (Huh) Nay on the most radical socialist experiment yet proposed in this game.

I wish Senator Yankee had provided a more vocal opposition to the plans of the radical wing of Labor. For whatever reason circumstances would not permit. If given the opportunity to serve as one of your At-Large Senators I will be working with Deus on a plan not only to stop this but rollback of other pieces of radical socialist legislation.

As per party by-laws when we field more than two candidates we hold a primary to determine who will run under the party banner for the upcoming At-Large Senate election. We have three candidates

The Honorable Clarence of Florida [ ]
At-Large Senator Lumine of Utah [ ]
Fmr. Mideast Assemblymen JCL of Indiana  [ ]

The race will end 72 hours from this post.

The votes for convention site are closed. We're going to the Pacific region and Phoenix AZ. I think this Is a great move to show solidarity with the region in light of the recent quake.

The statement above is the proposed platform. Before I call a final vote are there any further changes to be proposed? If not I will call for a final vote in the next 28-30 hours.
