Some of the ideas behind it (private, voluntary water and electrical systems) sound interesting, but yeah, the fact that it's named after Ron Paul is pretty creepy.

I agree that its silly, but why creepy? There are plenty of counties, cities, etc. named after historical people (although Paul isn't historical, he's still someone to remember).

I think the creepiness factor comes in how someone wants to build a society apparently based exclusively on the views of a single politician.  Obviously there are plenty of people who think like that, but the fact that they'd want the place named after a guy who isn't even dead yet makes it more bizarre.
