Economic Left/Right: -8.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.85

I don't think of myself as a Populist, perhaps it just the way some questions are asked.

Does this compass have different questions than the last one?  Where do I find it?

I thought he meant the thread was new, not the political compass.

New test moderated me slightly.

Economic Left/Right: 3.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.33

Economic: -0.75,
Social: -2.82

I'm more liberal than you, and I consider myself a very moderate Democrat.  I'm a swing voter.

Interesting that you self-identify as a Dem.

Well, I do.  Back when I was in Texas, I was fairly involved with inner-city Hispanic politics and worked with a number of Democrats (some corrupt, some not) who were in the mainstream of Houston politics.

This political score is not out of the mainstream of what was the standard Texas Democrat (maybe a little more to the left economically) before the downfall.  I am a registered Democrat, in Maryland now.

My social score is buttressed by a whole lot of extreme opinions on both sides (anti-abortion/anti-gay marriage/pro gun rights, pro-drug legalization/pro-prostitution/pro-gambling)  Otherwise, I would be very similar to Emsworth/Robert Goldwater/Max Power types.

Didn't you have an R-MD avatar when you arrived on this forum?
