HO (D), emphatically. While I support their agenda, I would much rather have another organization take power. In fact, they're so hyperfocused on pushing their candidates into office that they would hurt the Democratic Party in order to do so.

You've heard my thoughts on Hawaii's Senate race, but in case you haven't, here it goes. This group is backing Colleen Hanabusa's primary challenge against Brian Schatz, who was appointed to the seat by Neil Abercrombie. What EMILY's List is overlooking is that Hanabusa was actually less progressive on abortion than Schatz, voting against emergency contraception for rape victims at hospitals in the State Senate, and not pushing for a veto override when Governor Lingle said no to the bill. I really hate to cry misandry here, but one can only wonder if they'd be hitting Colleen Hanabusa (rightfully so) as anti-contraception if Schatz were a woman.

Now, onto the near-miss in Gary Miller's seat, CA-31. Unlike Hanabusa, I actually supported EMILY's List's candidate because she's more progressive than Aguilar. Obviously I have no problems with them backing Gomez-Reyes, because she has defended women's rights. What I have a problem with is the way they went about backing her. Instead of attacking Joe Baca, an unapologetic misogynist who has proven himself unable to work with women, they decided to attack Pete Aguilar in order to knock him down enough for Gomez-Reyes to sneak into the runoff. That almost worked -- for the wrong candidate. Leslie Gooch, the second Republican in the race, is currently 400 votes behind Aguilar, and Gomez-Reyes is 200 behind her, bar provo ballots. I like Gomez-Reyes as much as they do, but I'd rather see Aguilar in there than get shut out again.

Oh yeah, and there's this classy mailer (come on, this is Atlas - you can figure out what's wrong here):

I think I've explained my point enough. EMILY's List is so hyperfocused on their mission that they won't bother to research their candidates' issues beforehand and will push their agenda at the expense of the party of choice. Horrible organization, indeed.

Sick People (I support Hanabusa but not because these retards support her).
Don't forget Troy Jackson vs Emily Cain too where they've decided to hand the seat to a friend of Paul LePage and his agenda.

There are like what now? as many pro-choice Republicans and Pro-life Democrats in congress that you can count with your digits? There's what? Manchin, Donnelly, Murkowski, Pryor(?), Collins, Kirk and Casey in the Senate.

And even if they profess to be pro-life Democrats or pro-choice Republicans, they're still going to vote for or against, respectively, Obama's pro-choice judicial nominations. So in effect, they're still towing the party line.

the problem is they only endorse one type of candidate, and one type only, Women who run as Democrats, that's it, it's too tight/laser of a focus without consideration of any other factors, They aren't a team player and they sort of block their brains sometimes, which isn't good.
