I don't see how or why it's awkward.  He could be using more range of motion with the dumbbell shoulder press, but maybe he has an old shoulder injury or something.

It's sad how he's gonna be mocked for this. Who cares if he "looked awkward." There is no bad reason to start exercising.

And he's probably gonna be ridiculed the most by people who've never handled weights before.

Guys I know we all think Barry is the greatest, but we need to occasionally remind ourselves that he's literally a dad in his 50s working a white collar job. Of course he looks ridiculous in a gym.
