Dianne Feinstein decides to retire in 2012. Seeing that Democrats are unlikely to take the House, Pelosi decides to run for the Senate instead. Fiorina, who previously expressed no interest, is heavily pressured from national GOP groups to run. She jumps into the race due to the presence of one of the biggest Republican bogeyman, which she thinks may give her a chance to win. Who wins and by what margin?

Fiorina (R)-55%
Pelosi (D)-40%

That would embarrass National Democrats, and possibly giving Republicans a shot of retaking the Senate that year.

I like how Fiorina is actually winning in votes in this thread's poll.

lol

Pelosi/Pelosi. A Democrat in California running against a has-been who lost by 10 points in 2010? No way Fiorina wins.

That doesn't even make sense, why would Fiorina win after losing in a more favorable environment? I think you are confused.

Pelosi is too polarizing and too old.

She would still win anyway due to the political make-up of California in a presidential election year.  She might underperform Obama by a point or two though.

Pelosi could underperform Obama quite a bit and still win. I could see something like 55-45 Pelosi.

I'd vote for Fiorina, but Pelosi wins like any statewide D-CA.

No way Dems would allow Pelosi to be nominated.

What would the entire California state map look like between Pelosi and Fiorina ?

Out of all 58 counties and how many counties each candidate will carry in the 2012 CA-US Senate race.
