A quick story: when I was on a cruise in my early 20's, I spent some time cozying up to a super-cute southern girl with a bikini-perfect body. Best of all, the interest was clearly reciprocated. She was hinting about our retiring to her room when she said: You know, I have a confession to make. <giggle> I'm SO sorry, but when I first met you, I thought you were Jewish! Again, I'm sooo sorry."
Just as I was reeling from this she looked over by the pool and whispered "you know, for a classy cruiseline as this I can't believe how many ni#$@rs there are here".
That was it. I made up an excuse to vamoose and ignored her every time she tried hanging with me until she gave up a day later.
Moral of the story: Racism is the ultimate turnoff to some people.
I voted Not (straight).
