Random sprees are precisely what most people are concerned about.
So black people use guns in acts of gang violence? Well, I'm not in a gang, and I don't buy, use or sell illegal drugs, so I'm pretty sure I don't have to worry about that variety of non-random gun violence.
Killing sprees are the worry of wealthier suburbanites, who are disproportionately white. In my experience, most of the people who live in lower-income or median-income areas is worried about the proliferation of drug-related crime and gang violence.
