While I agree that things like a Vietnam were horrible events which should and could have been avoided by those in charge, I'm not sure what Chomsky argues for exactly.
That every US president should have been executed or that the Nazi leadership should have been allowed to walk free?
The implications of what he says aren't really pertinent to the validity of his claims. The fact is, international law
is applied selectively, and this is incredibly hypocritical.
More than anything, though, I think Chomsky is criticizing the state of the world in general - the travesty of justice that innocent people
are subjected to violent and unjust acts.
