Looks like an incumbent GOP State Senator William "Sam" McCann (R-50) of Carlinville has taken out petitions to run as an independent for Governor of Illinois.
According to Illinois Review, the Illinois Eduucation Association, Illinois Medical Society and social conservatives who don't like the moderate Rauner are all backing the bid.  If true and  if he makes the ballot, there could be some serious bucks behind him.

As Hillary Clinton was quoted about Pat Quinn: "He's the luckiest politician alive."

Quinn should run for president with this kind of luck.

Voters have questions about millionaire politicans like Blair Hull and Bruce Rauner that come in and write their own campaigb ticket. Opening up a third party campaign is latest sign of this. Which will cost GOP.

We should support his petition, by all means necessary to get him on ballot.

I'm going to laugh if Quinn wins reelection with 40%, while 60 percent of Illinoisans vote AGAINST him: voting for the other candidates.
