Someone should try to get some good gifs of Christie doing that dancing.

That's awesome. Good for him. A couple years ago he wouldn't have even been able to make it through that segment. Hopefully he keeps doing stuff like this though, because this is how he built up his old reputation as "the only reasonable Republican in the United States."

Not in isolation. But actually being able to look modern and poke fun at himself with Jimmy Fallon and the SNL crew goes a long way. I really think it does. How many politicians appear in good-spirited viral videos? The Republicans need to embrace the new media culture, and Christie at least knows how to do it.

Wow, he really has lost a lot of weight.  Perhaps Christie could make at least a partial come back by this time next year, though I doubt he could win the primary.

Christie is by far the most comedic and natural of the Republican candidates thus far. This will probably be the reason he returns to a top contender (and in spite of the scandal, he still seems to be).

His problem is going to be surviving the bloodthirsty GOP primary electorate, not coming back from the scandal.

When I read "Chris Christie" and "dancing" in one sentence, I have immediatelly thought of Toot doing charleston in Drawn Together.

Let's exercise a little liberal tolerance with his weight, eh?!  As if Hillary or any other contender dancing wouldn't be disturbing, LOL.

LOL @ comparing those two. Hillary looks fantastic.

I also hate how he wears his pants up to his armpits to hide his gut. No one is fooled in to thinking that's his waistline and it just looks ridiculous.

He's also a horrible human being beyond his weight, obviously.

Christie isn't a horrible human being. Certainly not compared to other Republican "humans". I would even characterize most Republican politicians as animals, and not human. However Christie is one of the few exceptions. And his laughable opposition to gay marriage doesn't change that. He might be very corrupt, but he is generally tolerable despite his obvious flaws.

My favourite part was Christie joking that dancing was more embarrassing than the bridge scandal because he actually did the dancing.

It takes a special kind of douche to think you're the biggest victim of your own scandal.

You are aware the GOP are animals like, hm, every other human on the planet? I think casting doubts on officeholders' species is stretching the boundaries of non-hyperbolic political discourse.

(I know you're being facetious, but it's still a stupid thing to say)
