I always break my mechanical pencils and end up having to use regular ones.  But I haven't sharpened any today.

Ever since I got my pen licence in grade three, my sharpening has fallen to very very low levels.

I can't remember the last time I used a pencil let alone sharpen one.

I'm guessing OP had to sharpen 37 pencils and is emotionally insecure because of it.

None today, but I still do use a suction mounted pencil sharper that looks like this with the good ole' No. 2's:

Mine is orange instead of brown though.

Since it's Saturday now, and I usually don't need any pencils outside school, none.
I just use them in Maths when drawing some graphs or geometric figures or something.

I send all my pencils to be sharpened by an artisanal pencil sharpener.

Same, although anytime I've used pencils in recent memory, they've always been mechanical. I will say, though, that my writing has always tended to be much better in pencil than in pen.

I think it's been at least 2 years since I last sharpened a pencil.

I think you just found yourself a wife.

Ah, or is it a husband.  Whichever.  (Sorry, I'm having trouble keeping up with who is "out" and who is not.)  Well, you know what I mean.

Wife.  I'm a heterosexual male.

I sharpened another one today.  I used the old-fashioned kind which is mounted on the wall and has a hand-crank and the company logo BOSTON stamped into the metal frame.  Man, I love those pencil sharpeners.  I prefer them to the small plastic ones and the electric ones.  I have a little plastic one in my office, but I'd rather walk down the hall and use the Boston because it gives much more satisfaction.  I even bought one and mounted it on the wall in our basement at home.  I forget about it sometimes, though, and end up using the little plastic one when I'm at home.  Also, I hang out on the top floor at home most of the time, and as much as I enjoy cranking it, I'm too lazy to walk down two floors to use it.
