No man gives me a crown. I pay the iron price. I will take my crown.

Welcome aboard, your grace!

I suppose I'll take Daenerys. Do I have to spend the first half of the game yelling about things that I can't find?

I have designed quite a few roads to avoid doing that from happening, but it will depend on your actions as well, xD. Welcome to Essos, your grace!

Since Lysa is not a key character (and it plays nicely into the storyline), all I need is Renly Baratheon and we can start the game.

Well, I considered the possibility, but as of the beginning of the game Varys and Littlefinger don't have such a crucial role yet. If events go like I expect they do they might truly take an increased and more direct role, in which case I will make them playable. (I have eight players already, soon to be nine, and Balance of Power taught me that it's a good idea not to overreach with the players).

No love for Renly? He seemed like a pretty cool dude for what (little) we've seen of him... And someone has to take up the Westeros LGBT Pride banner. Wink

Any suggestions for a player to take over as Renly? I really want to start this today, xD

Lief, Joe Republic, Dead0man, and Badgate are reasonably active in the thread on the off-topic board.  You could try one of them.

Well, if Tywin is basically the sole Lannister decision maker, I'll switch off to Renly. Though, I prefer Tyrion as a character, it doesn't matter much if there's a less roleplay element than decision making one.

Another possibility is that since Daenarys is currently non-essential, Nix could switch to Renly for the time-being and change back later (obviously his call though).

Well, I sent the messages, and it seems Simfan has agreed to be Renly. I'll wait for him to formally claim the character in this thread, and in the meantime I will prepare some extended briefing for all players with commanders, strategical situation, hostages and such.

No, it was after you were naive enough to believe the Queen of Thorns was coming to treat with you only to find an empty carriage and an army. Wink

Right, but I lived.  Mace Tyrell didn't.  That's the difference between a successful plot and a failed attempt.

Our goal wasn't to kill you. At very best we thought we might capture you. No, we surprised your army and forced you to flee to King's Landing with your tail between your legs. Cheesy

The game would truly benefit from an Edmure Tully.
