Really, it's just bad.

And given that Bill Clinton was just picked the most admired president in the last 25 years by more people than who picked both Bushes combined, the ad could even be taken as an attack on Jeb Bush.  Smiley

They're not actually going to air this, are they?

I mean, it's bad enough as some throw away web ad. But LMFAO if they actually spend money putting it on the air.

With ads like this they can as well switch to Tim Pawlenty's former ad-maker ...

It would be an improvement.

I'm all for this ad. We need more people in adorable animal costumes in our political campaigns.

Pawlenty's ads were truly epic.

The Republican Party is an aesthetic joke. Right-wing politics can be incredibly appealing and attractive - I think of "Nazi chic", which is still gorgeous seventy years later - but the GOP is simply ugly.

Agree. It is at least funny. Never seen the funny side of GOP before, except for Christie. Tongue It's probably not gonna work though, as there's not much message in it.

So...the GOP is courting the all-important furry vote, eh?  This could be a game changer.

Agreed. I have no idea what the point of this ad is but I love it when the chipmunk drops the phone.

It gets stranger -- the RNC is sending this squirrel around to Hillary's events.  She is being tracked by a giant squirrel.

So Hillary gets out of her car and gives the squirrel a copy of her book.

This all feels like an episode of Veep or a SNL skit waiting to happen.  It looks like we are in for a very bizarre presidential campaign.

Bizarre or squirreltastic. Take your pick. Tongue
For once, at least, Republicans don't come out of it as complete douchebags. It usually takes a village for that to happen. Tongue
Will it help them in any ways? No. Yet they will appear in people's minds as slighly more sympathetic and less annoying than usual.
People like comedy, people like cute, harmless, innocent mascots. This is at least a try, even if a rather bad one.

Aww, this is so cute! The HRC squirrel just looks so huggable! Smiley

However, not the best name for the furry friend. In this case, HRC is Hillary's initials, but when you Google the initials, the top result is the Human Rights Campaign which might give people the wrong impression about whether the squirrel is mocking Hillary or a gay rights organization. At least they have the shirt on the squirrel to kind of give it away, but....I don't know.

Overall, this is another awful attempt to hate on Hillary for Benghazi, though it brings a lot of joy and fun to an already controversial Presidential race.

This ad prompted me to listen to the Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers theme song after ~20 years.

YES! This is exactly what I thought of. Good to know I wasn't the only one.

Same here.
