Are you joking? The Fly is a masterpiece of body horror. The second-best Cronenberg picture, next to Dead Ringers. The visual effects on the Brundlefly alone are Oscar-worthy.

The visual effects are great, but the rest of the movie just didn't 'flow' for me.  I've never seen Dead Ringers, so I can't compare.

Oh man, you need to see Dead Ringers. I admit The Fly has some pacing issues because of the staggered nature of Jeff Goldblum's transformation. Dead Ringers corrects that.
