I'd love to see a breakdown of  hispanic dominated areas showing percentage foreign born.  It would be intresting to see a political difference between low immigration areas compared to high ones.  I'm guessing New Mexico and South Texas would be the leaders in the low immigration category.

Do the Cuban areas of South Florida have very many recent immigrants?

There might be a few places in pockets of California that are very Hispanic, but not high-immigration. I'm sure they would be very rural, but this is just speculation on my part.

This is what came to mind for me too. The core of that population has been there since the Novohispanic period.

And to a lesser extent, southern Colorado.

That applies to a lot of the Northeast and is probably the best answer.
