Does this mean Christie has no shot at winning Colorado? He literally used the expression "not well" to describe how he'd treat the state.

He seems to be running as Giuliani 2.0. Big mistake.

As an aside, at the recent CNN Town Hall, Hillary Clinton hedged her bets but left the door open to marijuana legalization:

He actually said a a few months back "go to Colorado and see if you want to live there." I sort of took that as a sign he's not running.

Ironically this means Christie may be to the right of Rick Perry on this issue.

What's ironic about that? Christie is pretty right-wing.

I'm not saying Christie would lose Colorado (or any state) because he's against legalization, but rather that he'd lose them because of this promise to treat them poorly. This also plays into the whole bully narrative.

I'm surprised he thinks tacking to the right on this issue is what will revive his shot of winning the primary. Shame.

It's funny that Christie thinks marijuana users should be headed to prison considering that he's probably going to be headed to prison for something far worse once Samson turns.

Typical right-wing hypocrite - talks 'states rights' when he wants to legalize sports betting, but not a peep when he wants to badmouth pot legalization. Thankfully, the ongoing scandals likely mean he's done as a potential president.

Either way, this is a flip flop, at least in terms of rhetoric - Christie, as late as 2013, called the Drug War a failure, and yet his whole new thing seems to be he's a tough on crime candidate.

His status as a criminal is one of his biggest weaknesses, so being tough on crime helps counteract that.

Coming from someone as politically cautious as Hillary Clinton, those kind of comments are very encouraging.

Uh, stop this anti-Italian bigotry now.

Not so much. He's to my left and more authoritarian.

More like as late as three months ago.

I still think Christie's doomed in the primary regardless of what happens or what the polls show.  Yes, the bridge scandal factors into that somewhat, but he simply doesn't represent the Republican Party of today.  If this were the 1990s and Christie had the same prestige he does today, he'd probably have little trouble getting nominated, but that was then and this is now.

running a Nixonian campaign in 2016 is not going to work, he's in the wrong decade

Haha, the tough on crime mantra isn't the only parallel between Nixon and Christie. Perpetuator of crime also applies. As well as being very unhappy individuals.
