On the balance, Horrible Deal, given it was mainly constructed as a stopgap measure to prevent all-out rebellion by the workers and laborers.

On second thought, that's pretty dumb. I like socialist revolution as much as the next guy, but pretending the New Deal was an ultimate negative for the workers because it prevented a revolution is just insane. Freedom Deal.

Mismanaged and an economically populist disaster, designed to gain the support of a bunch of poor Southerners, minorities and factory workers to maintain the White House for decades regardless of the recklessly negative effects it would have on this nation's budget to this day.  Did I mention it needed World War II to bail it out or otherwise no one would credit it with helping and the Depression?

There ought to have been less focus on creating regulatory bodies and far more on incentivizing worker's co-operatives.

I tend to like things that are built by striking workers, communists, and socialists. Freedom Deal.

obviously a good idea but kind of misses the whole point. that and you know, was never going to happen within the framework of 'the system' even if he wanted to

A good thing over all.  After all, one of the reasons the Great Depression was so severe was that there wasn't enough of a safety net or protections for workers.  It probably went to far in some places (like the Agricultural Adjustment Act, which contributed to the Dust Bowl), but I would have to say Freedom Deal, at least for the most part.

So are you a first generation right winger or was it your parents that moved to the right?
