North Korea, despite it being hevaily industrialized, none of the other really qualify.
European countries are by definition not Third World.

This is the worst poll I have ever seen on this website. Not just because of the poll options, but because there's a answer to the question:

After the Cold War, the term Third World is effectively meaningless; this question is an anachronism.

I assume that the OP didn't refer to the original definition of the term "Third world" which meant "non-aligned country outside of the Western bloc (1st world) and the Communist bloc (2nd world)".

The newer definition which uses it as a synonym for "developing country" is much more blurry and basically depends at which point you consider a country to be a "poor" one. So you could just as well have asked us: "Which of these countries are poor?"

The two countries which certainly don't belong on this list under any cirumstance are South Korea and Hungary. Because South Korea is home to the world's largest electronics and technology company (by revenue) and Hungary is a member state of the EU and not even the poorest EU member at that.

There is also the Old World (Europe), New World (Americas) and Third World (the rest) definition, but I don't know if that exists in English (after all it makes Australia and NZ Third World...).

Can Obamanation change his username to something that doesn't f[inks] up the format of the forum due to its length?
