The weighted vote controversy is gaining steam in Hudson. Per my research, the law on the matter is even more of a mess, and complex, than the application of the VRA, which itself is a jurisprudential cf. And the law as it pertains to localities and state legislative districts, is quite different than it is with Congressional districts (more lax). That is all.

Sorry about not completing this sooner.  The voting weight is the population divided by 2000 rounded to the nearest integer.   The range of errors is 0.803%; the mean absolute error is 0.166%; the standard deviation 0.188%; and the RMS error 0.172%.  All of these are quite small and in an acceptable range, particularly if compared to the apportionment error.
