Since there are already many candidates who have declared and with some incumbents looking likely to seek reelection, I figured running a poll might not be a bad idea after all. Following strong showings in the past election, I included SirNick, Maxwell and Flo as potential candidates, and if we have at least seven of this current field we're in for an amusing August election!

Obviously, I'm gonna first preference myself. I imagine Alfred, Griffin, Polnut and Flo will round out my top 5. But it's quite a field.

Either Dr. Cynic or Adam Griffin, with Goldwater the lowest preference

If I ever become a Senator again, it will be as a regional Senator.

Shua and Lumine have my full endorsement, and Shua would get my first preference. Beyond that, I can only for certain say Sirnick if he gives the race thought. Dr. Cynic at the bottom of my preference list.

Hate isn't in my vocabulary for you, but neither is any combination of "confidence" or "inspiring".

I'd consider it. Too early to imagine losing by 5 votes again.

Adam Griffin would get my first preference. Doc cynic, shuaa and sirnick in the mix too. I would like to support Flo but recent behavior makes that difficult to do.

Maybe Polnut too but I was very confused by his announcement.

Let's see, so far it's Dr. Cynic, Polnut and Clarence, I don't believe any of the incumbents have announced yet.

Results:

Senator Adam Griffin (i) (Lab) - 19.1%
Former Senator Clarence (Fed) - 17%
Senator LumineVonReuental (i) (Fed) - 14.9%
Senator Shua (i) (DR) - 10.6%
Former Senator Maxwell (DR) - 10.6%
Pacific Councilior Flo (Lab) - 6.4%
Former President Dr. Cynic (Lab) - 6.4%
Former President Polnut (TPP) - 6.4%
Senator Alfred F. Jones (i) (Lab) - 4.3%
Senator Goldwater (i) (Fed) - 2.1%
Former GM and Governor SirNick (TPP) - 2.1%

Total Voters: 47
% in regards to all voters: 27.81%

We're in for a really fun election, gentlemen! So far it seems three of the five incumbents have their reelection secured: Griffin leading the Labor vote, Lumine with Federalist-centrist support and Shua with his powerful voting coalition (even more powerful if Maxwell doesn't run and there are no other DR candidate, though Deus is expected to run again). Former Senator Clarence gets to second place and becomes an instant favorite to return to the Senate, seemingly firing up the Federalist base with his record. Taking Maxwell out of the scenario leaves us with a likely scenario in which Griffin, Shua, Clarence and Lumine seem like frontrunners, leaving the last spot to be fought between Labor challengers Flo and Dr. Cynic and TPP challenger Polnut. SirNick doesn't seem to have a real base of support here, and incumbents Alfred Jones and Goldwater seem in real danger of getting ousted from the Senate if these numbers hold (it should be noted, however, that only two Federalists can run).
